Project: Sniffin' Glue Year: 2023—Current Discipline: Art Direction, Print, Digital Website: sniffinglue.co.uk Collaborators: Mark Perry
Created by bank clerk Mark Perry in July 1976, Sniffin' Glue was the first UK punk fanzine. Running for only 12 issues, it influenced an entire generation of young writers, spawning hundreds of imitators. As exciting and crucial as the music that inspired it.
During it's brief existence, Sniffin' Glue brilliantly chronicled the birth, rise and fall of punk in the UK. From an initial print run of 50, by issue 12 it had reached 20,000. In true punk fashion Mark called it a day. Going out on a high as "the best rock'n'roll mag in the world".
